My Story
Taking My Power Back
For many years, I carried deep internal conflicts and unresolved trauma without realizing how much they were shaping my life. I didn’t have the language for what I was feeling, and I didn’t understand the emotional wounds beneath my reactions. All I knew was that something inside me felt heavy, unsettled, and out of control.
As time went on, that unhealed pain began to show up in my behavior. I sabotaged opportunities that could have helped me grow. I acted impulsively, made decisions from a place of survival, and found myself repeating patterns I didn’t yet understand. Anger became the emotion I relied on most—not because I was angry at my core, but because anger felt safer than vulnerability. It was easier to express than fear, sadness, or hurt.
I was so overwhelmed by what I was carrying, I couldn’t see how these emotional burdens were affecting my children, my relationships, and every part of my life. I was moving through the world wounded, but I didn’t know how to name the wounds or how to begin healing them.
My turning point came when I finally allowed myself to slow down, look inward, and acknowledge the truth: I was hurting, and I needed healing. That moment of honesty opened the door to a new chapter—one rooted in self-awareness, spiritual grounding, and the courage to heal.
Through deep personal work and education, I began to understand trauma, the nervous system, emotional regulation, and the power of choice. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Park University and my Master of Science from Long Island University, building a foundation that allowed me to blend academic knowledge with lived experience. Over time, I learned how to reconnect with myself, rebuild my identity, and show up for my children and my life with clarity and intention.
This journey led me to create Spirit Care – Ignite the Power Within LLC. My mission is to walk alongside others the way I once needed someone to walk with me—to offer compassion, grounding, and tools that help individuals move from survival to restoration. Today, I mentor people through their healing process with the same empathy, honesty, and spiritual alignment that transformed my own life.
My story is proof that healing is possible. Not perfect, not linear—but possible. And it begins with one brave decision to turn inward and reclaim your power.
